Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829)Gitarrenkonzert A-Dur op. 36

The discovery of the guitar concerto of Antone de Lhoyer was a sensation. Until 1990, only few historians knew about the existence of such a work. Almost nobody knew the score. Even about his life and work practically nothing was known.
It was composed in 1799 – nine years before Giuliani’s opus 30, and is therefore the earliest discovered and newly published guitar concerto, on top of being the only one to have appeared in Germany.
